Scriptures used: Matthew 7:24-26; Joshua 1:6-9; 1 Corinthians 16:13; Psalms 20:6-8; 1 Corinthians 13:4-8; Psalms 148:8; 1 Peter 3:8-9
The foundation of everything we do as believers in Christ is love - love that was exemplified in Christ.
Jesus turned a self-focused culture upside down and started a revolution with compassion.
Everyone who lives with a concept of compassion is living under the umbrella of the early believers in Jesus who put into practice His teachings and changed the world.
We should be compassionate because our Father is the author of compassion.
Reflect or meet with someone to discuss:
Where do you struggle showing compassion?
What does the compassion that Jesus showed mean to you?
In what ways do you think you could demonstrate more compassion?

Compassion is a powerful word. It goes deeper than showing sympathy for a person's pain. Compassion drives you to action. Each of these five devotionals contains a short audio message (1-2 minutes). The guests share about hearing from God, encouraging others, loving unconditionally, and proper boundaries. By the end of the five days, you should have a stronger sense of how to love with compassion.
