The act of baby dedication comes from 1 Samuel chapter 1, when Hannah dedicated Samuel back to God. She was barren, unable to have children, but desperately wanted a child. She prayed fervently before God, and He answered her prayer for a child. In verses 27-28 we read Hannah's words to the temple priest, "I prayed for this child, and God gave me what I asked for. And now I have dedicated him to God. He's dedicated to God for life." Then and there, they worshiped God." (Message)

We believe it to be an act of devotion before God for the parent to respond in dedication over the gift God has given them. This is not your child's salvation moment. They will have to make their personal decision to follow Christ. This is not an infant baptism. This is the parent's show of appreciation to God for giving them this gift and their proclamation to raise their child with biblical direction. If you would like to do this on a Sunday morning, please sign up below.
